Beautiful Walk-In-Shower in place of bathtub. In this bathroom renovation we removed the old bathtub and replaced it with a beautiful tiled shower. We opted for a Schluter linear drain because in the existing plumbing the drain was at the extreme right hand side of the shower stall and a linear drain is best suited to solve this problem. If the the plumbing is easy to alter and the position of the drain can be moved other solutions such as a standard 4″ drain in the center of the shower bed are possible. Since the dimension did not allow for a standard shower tray we put in a mortar bed which is sloping from left to right (towards the linear drain). We chose a tile-able drain that is hardly noticeable. The bathroom design was a collaboration between the owners, the general contractor and Creative Tiling Solutions.
