Rustic Bathroom with Walk-in-Shower
In this rustic bathroom we removed the bathtub and tub surround and replaced it with this beautiful Walk-in-Shower. The shower base was constructed with dry-pack mortar and water-proofed with Schuter Kerdi Cloth. For the shower walls we used 1/2 “ Kerdi board. Kerdi board is lightweight and dimensionally stable and a perfect substrate for tiles. The shower has a width of slightly more than 6 feet and we decided that a shower door was not needed. We just installed 44″ x 74″ glass panel which left an opening of almost 3 feet. We set the 3/8 ” glass into a 1/2 ” Schluter profile which was anchored into the tile edge at the wall and the curb. Please check one of the pictures in the slider above.
