State of the art slate shower
The pictures for this Slate Shower show the progression from mortar bed through waterproofing with Schluter Kerdi Membrane to finished product. In this installation on Drag Lake in Haliburton, the shower stall was lined with regular dry wall which works just fine if Kerdi membrane is used. Before any tile is installed the shower was completely waterproofed with Kerdi cloth. You could virtually use the shower without the tiles. The design of this shower was a collaboration of the Owner, Joseph Franke, and Creative Tiling Solutions.
